With a firm commitment to improve the well-being and future of our municipality, we are writing to you to inform you that next Monday, September 29th, renovation works will begin on Les Pesqueres Square
During the works, vehicle access will be allowed only to residents and to users of the Health Centre. Traffic will be two-way on the main streets around the square. In addition, eight parking spaces will be reserved in front of the doctor’s office for users of the Health Centre. These will be for exclusive use during patient consultation hours, and the rest of the day they may be used by the neighbourhood.
For better use of space, we ask that you use the various alternative car parks: Furs Street, Constitució Street, Capelletes Street and València Avenue.
It is expected that Les Pesqueres Square will become a key public space, providing it with new uses and facilities that will transform it into a true meeting point. It will have children’s playing areas, relaxation and social areas, a multipurpose space for street markets and cultural events, and grandstands that will serve as an open-air auditorium.
This project represents a decisive step in the transformation of our urban environment. This space, which holds so many memories of festive, cultural and recreational activities, is now receiving the necessary impetus to improve its quality and functionality. Not only will safety, accessibility and comfort be improved, but it will also strengthen community life, social interaction and the shared identity of the entire neighbourhood.
We therefore apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause and would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation at this historic moment for the municipality. Soon we will be able to enjoy a renovated square that is more open, inclusive, safe and full of life.
