The Councillorship of Youth is launching, once again, mobility grants for students in the municipality. This subsidy will benefit university students, master’s students, high school students, and students in intermediate and advanced vocational training programmes. Students who do not use the subsidised bus transport to IES Teulada are also eligible for this grant.
The budget allocated to these grants remains at €4,500, with a maximum amount per application of €180. ‘It is essential to support our students so that they can continue their education without mobility costs being an obstacle,’ said Mayte Roldán, Councillor in charge of Youth. ‘We want to help ease the financial burden on families and ensure that no young person is denied the opportunity to study due to a lack of resources,’ she added.
To be eligible for these grants, applicants must have been a registered resident of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell since the year prior to the call for applications and be under the age of 30. In the case of students in baccalaureate or vocational training programmes, they must be enrolled in the 2024/2025 academic year and have passed at least 50% of their subjects.
University students must be enrolled in Spanish institutions that are valid throughout the national territory and have passed a minimum of 35 credits. If they are in their final year of study, they must pass as many credits as they are enrolled in. In addition, master’s students must have obtained their degree in order to be eligible for these grants.
