- These plots, of between 40 and 50 m², are located at Pous de l’Abiar area and are intended to grow organic fruit, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants.
El Poble Nou de Benitatxell’s Council is once again making available to the public, free of charge, 12 urban orchards for the cultivation of fruit, vegetables, flowers and ornamental and aromatic plants.
This is a project that was launched a few years ago and now, given the high demand, the Agriculture Councillor, in charge of Javi Cabrera, has decided to expand it, adapting nine more plots and reassigning three of those that had fallen into disuse.
These plots, of between 40 and 50 m², are located at Pous de l’Abiar area. The type of agriculture that must be practised is organic, and the use of phytosanitary products and chemical fertilisers is strictly forbidden.
Anyone interested in obtaining one of these plots can contact tecnico_servicios@poblenet.es or go to Poble Net’s office (Padre Placido Street, 16) on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, from 9: 00am to 2: 00pm.
Plots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants will be given a responsible declaration indicating the rules of use that they will have to comply with. Once the plots have been assigned, a workshop will be organised to explain important aspects such as the rules and operation of the plots, the start-up date, the operation of the irrigation system, etc.
