The mayor, Miguel Ángel García, gave a speech of gratitude. «We would like to thank you once again for your tireless dedication to our town on a voluntary basis. It is you, the associations and their members, who drive and energise El Poble Nou de Benitatxell at all levels: cultural, sporting, social, traditional, neighbourhood, etc. We owe a great deal to each and every one of you who are here this evening. We therefore wish you good health and the enthusiasm to continue in the same spirit.

García also highlighted the large number and variety of associations of Benitatxell, which, for a municipality with less than 5,000 inhabitants, has a rich and very active associative fabric, with more than thirty groups.
