The Council of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell and the local stationery shop Àrea de paper (Hiperoffice) have signed an agreement to promote local culture and literary creation. Through a collaboration agreement, the council will provide several copies of every book owned by the municipality so that they can be sold in the stationery shop. In exchange, this commercial establishment will receive a 20% profit on the sale price of each book, which has a fixed price.
The purpose of this agreement is to promote the culture, patrimony and customs of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, while supporting local authors. Thus, Àrea de paper will act as the official point of sale, both for residents of the municipality who wish to purchase any of these works and for visitors and tourists who are interested in learning more about the history and idiosyncrasies of the town.
