Enjoy a unique gastronomic experience by touring the bars and restaurants of the town that offer the traditional arròs amb fava.

Wednesday 15th

Municipal Library

Inauguration of the ethnological exhibition ‘Els oficis de la MACMA al teu poble’, (The traditional professions – MACMA at your town) which reviews the main traditional trades of the Marina Alta in danger of extinction.

7 p.m. Municipal Library

Presentation of the children’s story ‘Lola & Vitamino. The adventure of learning to eat healthy’ with its author, Ángela Devesa.

 

Thursday April 16th

4:00 p.m. Start of the 1st La Fava Exterminadora Tournament. This is a mobile game (available under the name ‘El joc de la pastanaga’ on Android and iPhone apps) where El Poble Nou’s broad bean is the star and the goal is to eliminate opponents and accumulate points until 1 p.m. on April 19th.

7 p.m. Social Centre

Friday, April 17th

8 p.m. Parking lot of Valencia Avenue

Showcooking by chefs Carlos García Moreno, from Dexcaro (Dénia), a restaurant with a Repsol Sun, and Maria Albero (@saboreanda), content creator and gastronomic disseminator, winner of the 2019 Chef Bloggers contest and the 2025 Yummy Professional Career Award. They will make a tapa with broad bean.

At the end, a wine of honor and tasting tapas will be offered  to all attendees. The event will be enlivened with the music of the saxophonist soloist Alfredo Ripoll.

The event will be presented by Elena Vidal, journalist and communicator specialized in gastronomy, founder of @alicantestreetstyle.

 

Saturday April 18th

11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Visit to the experimental broad bean terrace and wine tasting by Biomoscatell Farmers Association. Prior registration by WhatsApp at 615 398 238. Limited places.

Popular dance by the Morro Falquí Dance Group and the Colla la Llebetjà.

11 a.m. Tapifava Festival with popular prices. The bars and restaurants of the town will offer various elaborations with the broad beans from town.

11:30 a.m. Concert CANTA CANALLA

1 p.m. Concert STREET MUSICIANS

1:30 p.m.  Awards ceremony for the winners of the homemade wine and mistela contest and the fava més llarga (longest broad bean) and the fava amb més gallons (broad bean with the most seeds) by the Biomoscatell Farmers Association, as well as the 1st Exterminator Broad Bean Tournament, organised by Joventut Benitatxell.
