We are writing to you to inform you that next Monday, September 29th, traffic will be restricted on Pau, Mayor and Mar streets due to planned redevelopment works. The streets will be reopened to traffic gradually, in sections, as the works progress.
In the case of Mar Street, residents will be able to access the street with their vehicles to load and unload.
We would like to point out to residents, businesses and customers that they can use the alternative car parks in the surrounding areas: Valencia Avenue, Mercat Street, Escoles Street and Mestral Street.
These works are not limited only to the paving, but involve a comprehensive renovation of urban services, including improvements to the rainwater drainage and water supply networks, the modernisation of public lighting in line with energy efficiency criteria, the upgrading of electricity and telecommunications cables, and the implementation of new street furniture, trees and landscaping.
We know that these works may cause temporary disruption to mobility and daily routines, so we apologise for any inconvenience they may cause and, at the same time, we would like to thank all residents for their understanding and cooperation.
This redevelopment is part of a necessary and exciting urban transformation, designed to improve safety, accessibility and quality of life for all residents. We are confident that, once the work is complete, we will be able to enjoy renovated, more modern, accessible and sustainable streets together.
