Lions Club provides three new defibrillators for Benitatxell’s municipal buildings and vehicles.

  • They have been destined to the Town Hall (although it will be moved to the Municipal Market after its rehabilitation) and to the two vehicles of the Local Police.

Teulada Moraira Lions Club continues to ensure the welfare and safety of the people of Teulada. Demonstrating its excellent collaboration with the Council and areas such as the Local Police, Civil Protection and Social Services, to whom it is always on hand to help them with whatever they may need, the group has recently donated three state-of-the-art defibrillators valued at 4,455 euros.

These devices, one of them fixed and two mobile, are destined to be placed at the Town Hall (although it will be moved to the Municipal Market after its refurbishment) and to the two vehicles of the Local Police. They are added to the existing ones for the Municipal Swimming Pool, the football field and Civil Protection vehicles.

This model for heart arrest resuscitation is a breakthrough due to its easy use. One of the advantages is that the resuscitation patches are suitable for both adults and children. In addition, it has a voice assistant that gives instructions on all the steps to follow.

‘There is always a high risk of cardiorespiratory arrest, and it is extremely important to have defibrillators in as many public spaces and emergency vehicles as possible, as early intervention can be key for saving a person’s life,’ said the mayor, Miguel Ángel García.

In addition to these devices, the Lions Club has made numerous donations in recent years for Civil Protection, such as a quick-assembly tent or two emergency screens that are used in accidents on public roads to improve safety and preserve the privacy of the victims, which are proving extremely useful to the volunteers. They also made an important donation of products in the collection of food and materials for those affected by the DANA.

‘We are immensely grateful to Teulada Moraira Lions Club. They are always looking after our needs and collaborating with us in everything we ask of them. They play a very important role in our municipality and by their example they transmit values of solidarity and empathy’, said the councillor of Security, María José Ivars, who, despite not being able to attend the donation ceremony, sent this message to express her gratitude.
