5:00 p.m. Inauguration of the photographic exhibition ‘Las Mujeres de Benitatxell’ and brief explanation of the work by its author, Jessica Hooghiemstra.

6:00 p.m. – Screening of short films for equality and talk by Marina Gilabert, from the association Clásicas y Modernas. Afterwards, sweets and mistela provided by the Associació de Dones (Women’s Association).

 

TUESDAY MARCH 4TH

4:30 p.m. – Social Centre

Walk and snack at l’Abiar washing place. Explanation of the recovery works of the washing place by the archaeologist in charge, Humberto García. Snack provided by the Women’s Association.

 

WEDNESDAY MARCH 5TH

6:00 p.m. – Social Centre

Cineforum of the film ‘La abuela y el forastero’ with its director, Sergi Miralles, and Arminda García. Afterwards, sweets and mistela by the Women’s Association.

 

THURSDAY MARCH 6TH

4:30 p.m. – Social Centre

Games and snack of mona and chocolate by the Women’s Association. Afterwards, ordinary general assembly of the Women’s Association (6:30 p.m. first call and 7:00 p.m. second call).

5:30 p.m. – Football field

Friendly women’s football match between the local team of the Municipal School of Football Base Benitatxell and U.D. Benissa, with the special presence of Gema Pastor, goalkeeper of the first team of València C.F. Femenino.

 

FRIDAY MARCH 7TH

5:00 p.m. Demonstration and dance exercises with Pam Small.

5:45 p.m. Presentation of the book ‘No son heroínas’ by its author, Pilar Brotons. Organised by the European Union of Women Marina Alta.

11:00 a.m. – Storytelling ‘Rosa Caramel’.

7:00 p.m. Opening speech by the photographer Jessica Hooghiemstra, who will present her exhibition ‘Las Mujeres de Benitatxell’

7:30 p.m. – Presentation of the documentary ‘Living Memory. Honouring the working women of the past and present of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell’. Followed by an aperitif.
