The schoolchildren of CEIP Santa María Magdalena celebrated Arbor Day this Friday (which was last February) with a planting in the green area of Les Fonts park. Around 50 pupils from 3rd and 4th grade of Primary School replanted a total of 120 trees of different autochthonous species such as carob trees, hackberry trees and Cartagena cypresses.
The schoolchildren have also previously attended a talk in which the importance of trees for the environment and to protect our surroundings has been explained. They were reminded that if they want to give the planet a long life they must start by getting to know and caring for nature.
