The Council of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, through the councillorships of Patrimony and Culture, has promoted the digitalisation of part of the municipal archive, consisting of a process of inventorying, classifying and cataloguing classified documentation from the Municipal Minute Books.
The work, carried out by a specialised company and supervised by the Town Hall employees in charge of the Municipal Archive, has been possible thanks to a subsidy of 1,585.10 euros from the Deputation of Alicante from the 2025 call for subsidies for the Digitisation of Municipal Documentary Funds of Alicante councils with less than 30,000 inhabitants.
The digitised documentation forms a documentary series of the Classification Table of the Municipal Archive, which contains files from the marriage register book, the minutes book of the Local Board of First Education, the minutes book of the Expert Board, the minutes book of the Agricultural Information Board, the Quintas and Militias and the minutes book of the Plenary Session.
The delivery of the digitised documentation included the files on two different digital storage media, one for the Council and another for the Delegation, as well as an index in Microsoft Excel format with extreme dates, title, signature of the file and number of sheets.
