The Council of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, through its public company Poble Net, has acquired a sewer inspection camera in order to improve the service it provides directly to its neighbours.
This investment has been made due to the need to have its own tool that can be used quickly whenever required, without having to wait to subcontract the services to external companies.
The use of the camera, for which the Council’s staff have already received the relevant training, will be for the purpose of inspecting the sewerage system in response to reports of faults in the municipal sewerage network caused by blockages. It will also be used to verify the layout of the pipes, as these are often not located where they should be, according to the technical plans available, especially around Cumbre del Sol.
This new tool will enable the Council to respond more quickly to incidents and improve its capacity to inspect and analyse the sewerage system, which will be vital for continuing with the Sewerage and Stormwater Master Plan that began in 2024.
