The Department of Culture has its main functions and objectives defined in the following items:
– Promote and spread our culture, traditions and festivals so that everyone can be participants and enjoy the wealth that our municipality offers.
– Protect historical, artistic and documentary heritage.
– Promote activities of cultural interest throughout the year for the participation and union of different and varied social groups.
– Contribute to the support of associations or institutions that carry out their activity and complement the cultural offer of the municipality.
– Listen to the proposals of the associations and collaborate with them in the promotion of activities that enrich la vida cultural y social del pueblo.
– Develop a periodic Cultural Agenda, as an information channel, for the dissemination of all activities that are proposed by the department.
– Promote the coordination with public and private organizations with common interests through the signing of collaboration agreements.
– Introduce the municipal library as a cultural vehicle. This service's mission is to offer free access to culture, education, leisure, thought and consultation, always open to all individuals.
