February brings with it the first events on the festive calendar of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell in 2026: Sant Antoni, patron saint of animals, and Sant Blai.

This Sunday, the 1st, all the pets and horses of Benitatxell and the surrounding area will go out into the streets. The Cavallistes i Carreters del Poble Nou de Benitatxell club is organising the Sant Antoni festival, as it does every year. At 9:30 am, all the horses will gather in the car park on València Avenue for a communal brunch, and at 12:30 pm the parade will begin, accompanied by music from Colla La Llebetjà, for the blessing of the animals, which will take place on the same avenue.

On Tuesday, February 3rd, the Banda del Poble Nou de Benitatxell will offer the traditional chocolate party for Sant Blai. In the afternoon, for afternoon tea, there will be chocolate and bambas at affordable prices starting at 4:30 pm at the Music School. Then, at 5:30 pm, Mass will be celebrated in honour of Sant Blai at the Oratory.
