The now traditional Christmas Market of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell has been, once again, a resounding success. Sunday, December 21st, hundreds of people enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere with numerous gastronomic, commercial and recreational activities.
The market began at 10am with family games, and later, the Music School’s Batucada filled the market with the sound of drums. Afterwards, accompanied by Colla La Llebetjà, the Christmas Burreta once again charmed the entire town, especially the youngest children, to whom it handed out letters to send their wishes to Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men. This animal is a symbol of the magic of Christmas of El Poble Nou.
Finally, as a new feature, Santa Claus’ house was inaugurated on the church square, where he will stay on December 24th before beginning his journey back to the North Pole.
