INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN.

12pm. Reading of the manifesto against gender violence by the students of CEIP Santa María Magdalena. School playground.

5pm. Film forum. Screening of the film ‘Under Therapy’, by the Women’s Association. Followed by a discussion with Renée Aguilar. Social Centre.

7pm. Walk from the Social Centre to the Town Hall, followed by the reading of the manifesto for 25N.

TUESDAY 26TH

5pm. Self-defence workshop for women of all ages with Paddy Brennan by EUWMA. This is followed by dance exercises with Pam Small. Coffee and sweets will be offered before the workshop. Social Centre.

WEDNESDAY 27TH

11.30am. Creation of a participatory mural in memory of the women victims of domestic violence this 2024 with the special collaboration of the Women’s Association. Market Square.

THURSDAY 28TH

7pm. Round table ‘Indicators and resources in a situation of gender violence’. Speakers: professionals from the Women’s Centre of Dénia, Local Police officers and professionals from the Basic Primary Health Care Area. Social Centre.

FRIDAY 29TH

10am. Talk ‘How to deal with violence against women? Regional and municipal resources’ with Pilar Vidal (Guardia Civil Calp) and Elena de Alkaia (Xàbia Local Police). Organised by EUWMA. Club de Golf Jávea.

7pm. Talk by Dr. Régulo Lorente ‘Silenced voices. Treating gender violence from the perspective of family medicine’. Social Centre.

SATURDAY 30TH

10.30am. VI edition of ‘Breakfast between books and women’ with Amparo Zacarés, author of the book ‘La violencia de género explicada a adolescentes’ and president of Clásicas y Modernas, an association with which the Council collaborates through an agreement. Library.
