Broad bean Gastronomic Days at El Poble Nou de Benitatxell

Enjoy the experience by visiting the bars and restaurants of the town that offer the typical ‘arròs amb fava’. April 1st at Pizzería Antiquary (966493620), April 2nd at La Cumbre restaurant (966493213), April 4th at Ca Toni Mònica (966493636) and April 5th at La Trillaora (647606784).

 

Thursday April 3rd

7:00 p.m. LIBRARY

Wine tasting with wine pairings by Pablo Catalá, sommelier of the BonAmb restaurant. Organised by Biomoscatell Association of Farmers of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.

Previous inscription (max.25 people).

 

Friday April 4th

8:00 p.m. PESQUERES SQUARE

Showcookings by the chefs Ferdinando Bernardi, from Casa Bernardi in Benissa, and Ausiàs Signes, from Ausiàs Restaurant in Pedreguer. They will cook a tapa with broad beans from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. The event will be presented by Marina Vega, journalist and gastronomic communicator.

Afterwards, a wine and tapas tasting will be offered to all those attending. Music will be provided by the pianist Estela Malonda.

 

Saturday April 5th

From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. PESQUERES SQUARE

Craft market and children’s attractions.

11:00 am to 12:00 midday

Guided visit to the experimental field of cultivation of the broad bean from El Poble Nou. Previous inscription by phone at 615398238.

Muscatel with the 5 senses. Previous inscription by phone at 615398238.

Popular dance by Grup de Danses Morro Falquí and Colla la Llebetjà followed by a performance by the MUIXERANGA DE LA MARINA ALTA.

10:00 a.m. to :00 p.m. Fava més llarga i amb més gallons (longest broad bean and the one with the most seeds) and XI edition of the Wine Contest.

11:00 a.m. Tapifava Festival with popular prices. The town’s bars and restaurants will offer various dishes made with broad bean from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell

12:30 p.m. OXIGEN concert.

1:30 p.m. Awarding ceremony for the winners of the wine contest fava més llarga and the fava amb més gallons by the Biomoscatell Association of Farmers.
