- From July 15th to 20th, the three new courts located at La Font sports area will host the first paddle tennis tournament organised by the Benitatxell Paddle Tennis Club.
With just a few minor works to be completed, the three new paddle tennis courts in the sports area of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will be inaugurated in style: with the I Torneig of Santa Maria Magdalena Festivities organised by the Benitatxell Paddle Tennis Club and the Councillor of Sports, in charge of Javi Cabrera.
The matches will be held from Monday July 15th to Saturday July 20th, and there will be three male categories, one female, one mixed, one for boys and girls from 10 to 12 years old (included) and one for boys and girls from 13 to 15 years old (included). The format will be two groups of four pairs per category with a final and semi-final and trophies for the finalists.
Inscriptions cost 15 euros (except for boys and girls from 10 to 15 years old, which are free) and can be made until July 7th by sending a WhatsApp to 696 38 40 63 (Javi) or 630 52 87 25 (Ramón). Places are limited.
Three new courts
The work on the new courts has been carried out by the company Vías y Obras Aitana S.L. for 329,254 euros (VAT included), of which 47,172.21 euros are financed by the Plan +Deporte of the Diputación de Alicante for the courts installation (phase 1 of the project). In addition to the installation of the paddle courts, it includes the adaptation and closing of the plot, the construction of a dry stone wall and the installation of street furniture, green areas and bleachers.
